Hi, my names Avery! I’m 19 years old and a fur momma to 3 cats and 2 dogs (YIKES! I know). Some of my favorite things include reading, hikes with my pups, and plants that take minimal effort.
I was very fortunate enough to grow up in a very accepting environment and had normalized tattoos at a very young age. My siblings and I all have artists talents and we were and still are supported in any direction we choose to take them. A part of me always knew growing up, especially with all my parents being covered in tattoos, that I wanted to be a tattoo artist. My stepmother had started a tattoo apprenticeship when I was younger and I remember that being the kick start to me really deciding that was what was right for me. I remember telling her I wanted to either be a cake decorator or a tattoo artist, just like her! When we’d have to write papers in high school about what we wanted to be when we grew up, I already knew which direction I was going to take. Knowing Erica for most of my life, and her knowing this, she decided to take me under her wing and I couldn’t of asked for a better teacher to help me along the way.
Starting out, I was just excited to draw and put my own art work on to people. Then I realized that there’s so much more to it. Whenever you bring me a design, whether its something small and silly just for fun or something meaningful, you bring along your story with it. You bring along your laughs and tears and in that moment we talk like we’re best friends and you leave with a great experience and something memorable to you, big or small. I’m very thankful for each and every permanent memory I’m trusted with. Although I love many styles and designs, my preferred style is fun floral work, or spooky themed, or even a mixture of both! I like witchy themes, skulls, moths, and there isn’t a flower I don’t find beautiful! If you made it this far, thanks for reading!
